“RASPBERRY PI”- combination of fruit name & python.

The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit card sized computer invented in 2009,that plugs into a computer monitor or TV and uses a keyboard and mouse.

Arduino is a Microcontroller based development board, whereas the Raspberry Pi is a Microprocessor based board that acts as a computer. Allowing us to control electronic components for physical computing and explore the Internet of Things (IoT).It enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python.

WORKING:

The OS is stored in micro SD card.An SD card is inserted into the slot on the board acts as the hard drive for the Raspberry Pi. It is powered by USB, the output can be displayed to a TV set, a more modern monitor, or even a TV using the HDMI port or USB.

FEATURES:

All the features in computer are found in Raspberry pi board. The GPIO pins control and monitor the outside world being connected to electronic circuits.We have in-built wi-fi and Bluetooth. Many versions came around till now.

LATEST VERSION is :Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+.

Applications of Raspberry Pi:

• Web server, Gaming servers.
• Stop motion camera
• Used in Home automation, robot control.
